5Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? 6But ye have despised the poor. Greetings Saints in His Perfect Peace,
Two men both waiting on social security and low income housing. Both is the last few weeks have lost their bags and any blankets they had. Both in their fifties. Prey to predator types. They have been sticking to gather staying under this bridge or that bridge at night because staying in one place brings the law down on them. Telling them to get into a program ( there are not enough to go around and they just need housing not a program, or have religion forced on them ) or go to the shelter ( also there is only 160 beds and not enough room anyway) by going to one the only walk in shelter that requires a forced sermon that is done by people not that love them but look down on them. The Place is run by men who stay there of one race so these two fellow have to worry about that as well as it reeks of homosexuals. Not something these two want to go through. No these two had nothing but the friendship of each other.
Tuesday they were blessed with a tent that came in the mail. They also got two heavy duty army blankets, and coats that are better than they have seen in years! They also got scarf's that came in the mail.They were very happy! And kept saying thank you while they enjoyed mom's wonderful beef stew made from roast beef! Yes they had a wonderful day. Lift them up in prayer.
We gave out all the coats which were very large. One big one armed man can hardly find a coat every year. This year he got a new one that fit. Yes we need many more coats. Large and medium now. We also gave out under wear big sizes and t shirts....But now we need the medium and large sizes. So saints if you have a coat or some other clothing just hanging around, send it. Someone will be blessed by it.
I also watched a cute little girl about 3 years old get such great enjoyment out of some Orange Juice mom gave her. She was there with her 8 year old brother and their dad who is a drunk! I feel so sorry for these children as much of there money is blown by dad drinking it up. We send food with them when we have it.
But lately no canned food etc has came in so we have had nothing to give so many that ask. The Local food banks make it real hard to get in as you have to be referred and that means a trip to srs or something. Many times this is impossible as no transportation...
What really bothers me is the agencies that also help the poor will not come forward and say to Wichita
that their is still a big problem for fear people will send donations to others as people might not think they are doing their job!
But you know there are churches about every 4 to 6 blocks at least in our area of town. In others maybe 10 to 12 blocks from each other. SO many......so many with their doors locked to the poor. Yes a few help but not enough......standard question by the homeless about the Churches " Why are Christians just like
everyone else when they get out of the parking lots?"
We treat them with love and do not look down on them in anyway. Most that drink or have bad attitudes are that way because of the forced life they have to live. Yes most did not get the way they are until after they lost jobs and families and hit the street..
Just where is the body of Messiah? We are supposed to Love one another.........Yes I am writing a book on the subject called Love thy Neighbor! But yet the church sends millions overseas to preach the gospel they
do not even keep!
You know we are a faith ministry. We believe that the Lord will use some of you to help. We have kept going for about 5 years caring for these people. The problem just gets worse and not better. But some are being saved and not by a watered down gospel message but through the gospel which is all about Love... It makes me wonder if people even read their Bibles.
On the Subject of Bibles we could use some more large Print KJV Bibles! You know if all that read this email would donate something on a regular basis it would help so much. Please consider it! We always give them a thanksgiving meal every years and it looks bleak right now. These next two month people are spending money on other things which is okay with me but for us it means less donations....
Why donate to radio? Well it keeps people warned of the time we are in and brings support for the poor!
We need to pay radio $190.
Saints please, pray about helping if nothing else with just donations for gas! Any donation large or small will help!
